I booked travel for early/mid June to spend about a week in Sawtooth but my host in Ketchum said that there has been heavy flooding due to the heavy snowmelt and that many of the trails are closed til they dry out.
My question is this:
1.) Do I chance the trip into Idaho and pray for open trails? Is it worth it for the scenery?
2.) Do I skip out on my connecting flight and spend the week in the Salt Lake City area? The hiking looks pretty good but I'm behind the gun on planning so don't know anything about the trails in the area.
Never been to either location but open to either. Rescheduling is not an option...I've spent too much time at work, I've got to get outside.
