The knots of branches in punkwood usually wont crumble and can be picked off whole. they don't last for long because although not as brittle as the rest of the wood they are kind of brittle. but then you can just go get more and they have a little bit of story behind them and you change it out keep it fresh
they are all unique and have different colors
they literally couldn't be easier to make. pick them up. dust them off. shape them a little. put string on it. done
