Simple things like a stable, chutes, head gate, etc. If you have those things and a proper fence then go for it. That stuff is just for handling the cattle from keeping them healthy to caring for them when sick to when it comes time to send them to a butcher. While you don't need a truck with trailer, you'll need to find someone with one when it comes time to send it to the butcher. While you can butcher it yourself, it is a MAJOR undertaking and you need the right tools, skill set, and knowledge to get it done in a timely manner.
As for the tastiest, that's a bit subjective. I prefer lean meat, but companies seem to say people want fatty beef instead. The flavor of the meat will be more determined by what you are feeding the animal and the time in its life cycle you butcher it. You may end up getting a milk cow so you can have milk and veal from its calves every so often.
