Croatia has a shitton of trails but the idea of connecting them is relatively new. Pic related is only a few years old, about 1100 km. Hiking this in summer would probably be pretty shitty considering the water, since deep wells and such are pretty rare and most springs dry out by summer. The winters are pretty wet so in spring there should be a decent amount of water but it's still the number one problem. In winter it would probably be suicidal to go hiking (bura).
