Zip tie your Bic: a way to start fires is only useful if it works.
To prevent accidental discharge from your lighter tie a zip tie around the top under the fuel depressor switch if attached correctly you should not be able to press it down until the tie is removed. Try to keep the cable/zip tie head towards the front of the lighter to make it easier to remove over the metal cover, it can be reapplied with some practice.
Protip: You can also remove the child safety cover on the flint wheel to make it a bit easier to light with
cold hands.
