>>1186454>>1186898I'm alive, although I really shouldn't have been out on the ice, it was rotted out and there were plenty of holes in the ice and water everywhere. There were a few big open water spots and I even was casting lures in it. Some spots were pretty good, 8 inches of rotting ice, other spots it was maybe 2-3 inches of rotting ice, to which I was a bit frightened to be on. I fell though a couple spots right by shore but I had my waders under my snow pants so it wasn't deep enough to be a problem. Worth it though, I found that the bluegill really really like around sunset and don't like the midday that much, as if they can tell the difference between grey and slightly darker grey through the ice. Bass seemed to just be happy that it wasn't -15 today.
