I groaned internally but the kid was like 14 or 15 and walked straight up to me and started asking questions about my rig. He was respectful and called me sir and genuinely was interested so I told him about what I was doing. he was getting skunked hard with his gear which was rigged up in the silliest/laziest way possible. Then his dad chimes in and makes it clear that he is 100% clueless and just bringing his kid because the kid loves fishing. Turns out the kid got into fishing at a young age because he watched a ton of youtube videos from 1rod1reel, APbassin, extreme philly fishing, etc. He was shocked I knew about who they were and lit up when I brought up a few of myself. I gave him some hooks and nightcrawler like I was using and he started catching tons of bluegill. When I was leaving I heard him and his dad fighting because he "couldn't leave yet this is the best fishing of my entire life"
