There are only a few locations left on earth where you can really get away from that, even Everest is polluted with millions of oxygen bottles en-route to the camps.
You need to find something to add adrenaline to the venture as being out just doesn't cut it anymore. Being in NA I usually pick a place with at least some Grizzlies, maybe some rattlesnakes, far enough away from civ where you are responsible for your actions.
