Half the time I drive through I get pulled overIt is fairly central to the Northeast an probably in one of the better /out/doors areas, Western High Peaks of the Adirondacks. It's also a pretty unique lake in that the only public roads and water access is at the southern end, which makes the northern end very remote and unspoiled by other tourists, campers, etc. Lots of loons and barred owls at that end, lots of lean-to and primitive camp sites that are less used. Very few other lakes in the ADKs or even northeast overall like it.
