>>2839868I did the three on the right(natural color) first. I was making the collar space way to large. And it's been a while since I've done a dubbing noodle and forgot to pull stack the dubbing to get it all running in the same direction. So the collars are a bit ugly. But should still catch fish. I'd gotten into the rhythm by the time I switched to the olive zonker three. And I'd taken the time to look over the first three and saw my mistakes. I think they came out pretty good! Nice looking collars.
The only slight modification I made to the recipe they provided was; they suggested adding super glue to the thread on the hook before wrapping the mylar. I don't have any super glue. So, instead, I used some thick UV resin after I wrapped the mylar. Which should achieve the same desired result of preventing it from unwrapping the first time it gets a bite.
*Brass beads, not nickel.
I like this one. I haven't gotten around to actually fishing streamers yet. But I think is should be pretty effective when I do. They'd probably work well on a float-n-fly setup too. I hear that's a very popular technique for small mouth and spotted bass in the lakes around here.
