>>1223215Yes, a couple of years ago. Unless you intend to grow them for a long time, don't. As other anons already pointed out they grow so easily you will have loads, and they come back from small pieces of tuber even if you clear them.
As animal feed or if you want a lot for soup etc they are great. Also good for breaking up the soil a bit if you're planning a multi-year rotation, if the soil was a bit tired somewhere I'd consider forking in manure then growing artichokes, remove and grow clover or other green manure and kill recurring artichokes year after.
