I do carry a Gerber, basic old one. Don't use it much, but it still goes with me. Most of the tools I actually use are in my tool roll, and I carry my Benchmade with me all the time.

No big injuries... been lucky... real lucky.
Still fighting an ankle injury, cased a double snocross'n in march. Doesn't really limit me anymore, but it still hurts/aches if I'm on it for a few days.
Worst injury was ~10 years ago, stepped on by a rodeo bull, busted rib. Vest likely saved my life that day, which is part of the reason i'm so nutty about chest protection now.
