If you're REALLY intent on smoking a big pipe fast, a burley blend would probably be more your speed. It doesn't have the natural sugars in it that Virginia does, so it'll be less prone to biting the hell out of your tongue. It still won't taste nearly as good as any blend smoked properly, but at least it won't roast the inside of your mouth

My only concern is the mouthpiece-P lip bits are notorious for being hard to clean.
Will post pictures when I do. If it's like most of the other pipes I've gotten cheap, I'll probably use a bundle or two of pipe cleaners just getting it ready to smoke.
