Anyone have any experience with SWD? I'm looking at their Wendigo and Rugged Long Haul 50L as a better framed alternative to the zpacks arcs. The arc haul looks good but I've read that the fit can be pretty unforgiving if you don't fall within it's comfort zone. I don't want to jump straight into the frameless ultralight bags because my tent is still pretty heavy at 3.5lbs and I like to pack some luxuries (chair, beer) as well as having to deal with a bear can on some trips.
>>2449040I did the same thing when I started out 3 years ago: I bought a mystery ranch stein 65L and a mr glacier ~71L. It worked for the cheap bulky gear I carried around back then, but I struggled to cover steep elevations (California Sierras) for the first two years until I could shave off the pounds by upgrading to lighter gear (completely nullified by the bear can requirement in the western Sierra) and switching to a 50L bag (also MR). These are heavy, burly bags (4.5 to 5 lbs), and the suspension systems are great but I'm looking to finally cross over to a framed UL bag.
