OP, if you want to do this, do it. Just realize that travelling around the world without a bro/partner is a very lonesome experience, backpackers are generally mistrusted everywhere and hostels get really fucking annoying after a while.
It costs more than people think, getting visas and organizing your trip while on the road is a huge pain in the ass and a long trip can affect your social skills and ability to fit into society afterwards.
If you just want to live an outdoors livestyle, getting a related job (forestry, gardening, hunting guide, conservationist,...) is a better idea.
