Never seen one of these before. Western rocky mountains, kinda looks like a cicada, but I've lived in Texas most my life and I've never heard or heard of a cicada around these parts.
Oh, and bees! It's spring and there's like two dozen different kinds of bees out here. Little iridescent green ones, black and whites, honeybees, big ol fat bumblebees, carpenter bees, few different kinda sweat bees (you'll know them because they like to unnervingly land on your face for the salt) and a bunch more I don't even know the name of.
