It's not the Scouts they don't trust. First and foremost it's the Scouters. We all remember that dad who would be sipping at his "stove fuel." Drunk Scouters leads to greater odds of molested Scouts. Banning alcohol stoves means fewer lawsuits, simple as.
Also the BSA isn't dead yet, but they are badly in need of your support. Especially if you want them to still be around for your sons and grandsons.
