Something like a compass/thermometer zipper pull or key chain. A simple tool for "just in case" situations.
OP, once you've got pack and boots sorted, then I'd move on food, shelter and water.
Are you going to want a full tent? Or could you make do with a bivvy?
Make sure your sleeping bag and pad are rated to whatever night time conditions you may be facing.
A water filter (or boiling with your camp stove) can help reduce the amount of water you have to pick up on each resupply stop. And water is always the heaviest thing you pack.
