Thanks! Red deer, reindeer, seal and sheep from all over Europe (and Greenland). I'm cheating a bit and layering them on top of a super thin folding Bundeswehr milsurp mat, mostly to protect the pelts from sharp pebbles. And there's obviously a wool blanket too. This week was the first time the whole bundle came /out/, and it was just for a sunset picnic. I have yet to try overnighting /out/ on them, but it was very comfy to lie on after eating. We use them at home in the winter though, both to comfy up the couch and to bundle under at night. The sheepskin is slit lengthwise about halfway, starting from the tail. That allows me to use it like a tiny cloak (ruana-style) slash waistcoat. Very comfy, and still doubles as pillow or additional ground insulation for the torso, or whatever. I'm gonna experiment a bit with the pelt-bundle to prove that my LARP is doable even in colder climates than where I currently live. I'll post updates as I get results (probably in the shovelthread).
