I harvested these Solomon seal shoots and rhizomes the other day. New plant for me. Most of the shoots were a bit far gone, (you want then when the leaves are still curled up). I boiled them for 10 minutes and they were pretty good, similar to asparagus, the older ones had Woody stems but the tops were still tender and good. There would have been way more and way better if I got them like a week ago. I still have the rhizomes, raw they tasted kinda meh, earthy flavor and kinda fiberous, any anons know how to cook them?
