I'm convinced it's 90% bull, but I want healthy animals. So if chickens need more calcium than the environment can provide, then I want to grow my own (snails, beetles... fresh water clams? Bones?)
Yeah, feeding pigs off the land is possible. But the winter. You can't feed them hay. I need to feed 5lb per pig per day for like 5months. They cant eat snow or dead grass. I need some sort of crop that can last that long to feed them. I know squash last months. I'm not going to can or jar a tonne of food for the pigs.
