>>937722Idk, it's the same thing as panfish just bigger. You can't go wrong with a Size 10 Rapala (Original, Husky Jerk, X-Rap) or a Mepps Agila #4 if the bass are active and feeding. If they are a bit slower, a Texas-rigged Baby Brush Hog with a 3/0 EWG hook and a ~1/4oz bullet.
Regular spinnerbaits are good at dusk or early in the AM. If the water isn't too murky, go with something like Sexy Shad color or a natural with double gold willow blades. Chattermemes are straight too but I still reccommend those little 1/8oz ones.
Poppers are good if you can see the bass jumping on calm water at dawn or dusk. Frogs for weeds. And then for other crankbaits, I still like suspending jerkbaits the best and never did well with the fat diving traditional cranks. I like those Rapala Scatter Raps (7+ for LMB) or any good lipless crank (Rat-L-Traps, any of the Rapalas, those magical Sebiles, KVD Red-Eyes). Lipless cranks like a heavy Red Eye Shad or Rat-L-Trap are good for covering lots of water when it is a bit cooler like now.
