The forest is for peasants. A man of money and means can go anywhere and do whatever he wants, there is no concern. It is only a poor man, a weak man, that goes and hides in the forest in the name of "recreation" or some other such nonsense, doing additional labor in his time away from his labor job because it is all he knows, and all he ever will be.
A strong and powerful man goes to a rented lodging when he wants to travel, and he has the money to have other people clean it up after him, and prepare it for his arrival. The poor and weak man goes to the woods and does everything himself.
