>>2640597hey guys. this year i (a complete gardening idiot with 0 experience) planted corn. i planted about 16 stalks but all but 2 died before they could even start growing due to not enough drainage. one of the stalks germinated about 3 weeks ago or and i was excited about that but the other one started turning red and did not germinate (apparently due to excess sugar or something, picture included, it died completely). so i was hoping to give the one that did germinate more time cuz it was tiny but the redness started happening on that one too and was spreading fast so i took of the corn itself in a panic. it is tiny but it is there, picrel. what i want to ask is do you think these kernals are mature enough to use as seeds next year or should i give up and buy seeds next year? picrel, the stalk that died and the tiny corn that lived with the kernals. i want to have something to show for this year's effort other than increased knowledge. also if any part of this indicates that i did something seriously wrong please tell me because i need to learn.
