These transmitters/receivers took the microwave (around 2GHz) signals and converted them back to the baseband channels. Big delay-lens antennas with over 3000 bolts on each horn.
The round cans on the wall to the left are the pressure switches for the feedlines to the antennas. When a line would lose pressure due to a gasket failure or bullet hole, those would raise alarm so a technician could do the repairs.
