>>882425>>882432We would hit lots of other stuff on those 3-Way rigs too. Mostly Walleye because that river was full of them but also the occaisional largemouth, channel cat, perch, fat crappie or really large bluegill, a big softshell turtle, etc.
If you wanna fish lures instead, you just gotta find the right spot. Predator fish like to hang out in slow moving water, facing upstream, and waiting for prey to come floating down the river in nearby faster moving water. So you want to find some structure or a hole or a sandbar or rock with still or slow moving water behind it. Cast upstream and run the bait back downstream right on the edge of that slow moving water.
You can also run those 3-way rigs with all sorts or artificial baits but idk how effective it would be unless you are trolling. I guess if you just cast it out and wait, the current could be moving fast enough to give the lure some action.
