Each area of OR has it's ups and downs, but there is one final piece of the equation which I cannot satisfy. I need to be within a 1hr commute of a city of at least 50k+
Who will I sell my wares to in a tiny town? Most small towns already have plenty of self sustaining farms, ranches, and people who just don't care about your wares. Who will you get a job from if times get tough?
This is no problem if you can buy land for $50k and get a loan for $150k for your house, tools, and animals. But being a poorfag who's budget is only $50k tops, I kinda have limited choices.
