>>2516975OP here again. I'm fiddling with Faraday Bags as a way to protect my electronics in BoB and EDC. In addtion to powerbank and flashlight I also have spare cellphone in EDC. Tested the bag, did a lot of interwebs research and came to a conclusion the protection should be sufficient. EMP damage is not black or white thing. Most experts believe devices like flashlights would only take 1-2Amp which should be OK, everything with antenna is whole different story. Proffesional testing always shows some signal coming through faraday cages they test but if it's within 30-80db it is believed to be sufficient. So I've ordered another bag for my BoB, I will just wrap molle pouch containing all my devices in it... then it struck me: the solar panel is outside of the pouch. It's too big for any faraday bag available in sane price range and it does have small regulator box attached to it. So another advantage of crank charger is it will be EMP shielded. Sure I can build big faraday cage for whole backpack or just put it in tin trash can but the bags while more expensive add just few grams to the weight and they still protect while you travel
