>>2710850That article makes it sound like they only made it 8 to 10 miles, but consider they were doing a through hike and probably left their vehicle at their destination and got a lift to the starting trailhead, meaning they had done 16 miles or so. The mountains in the wintertime are punishing terrain and while I'm not saying these women made wise decisions, there's probably more to the story.
