>>443345amerifat here. as private US consumers / workers / citizens, we personally don't so much care for the asthetic appearence of the "MADE in USA" logo for the benefits of exported products being bought and used overseas. Its more of a selfish, point of pride or sensitive point of contention for us to have something we buy or use ourselves to still be "made in the USA". with the modern trade commerce as it is and so many U.S. manufacturing jobs lost to overseas and to Mexico. we grew to hate the sight of "Made in China" labels on everything we buy for ourselves here in the states.
So "Made in USA" label is more for us amerifats to appreciate than anyone else.
Side note: We do still hold a value for many things "Made in Germany" or "Made in England" , etc., because to us (beyond the boston tea party era at least) it has always represented a symbol of excellent engineering and quality goods.
Made in Canada is fine too.
its just that "Made in China" has become the symbol or a symptom of the demise of our once great manufacturing industry.
but its a bittter pill we ameritards swallow everyday because with the US economy the way it is many are drawn to buy cheap chinese made goods at Walmart because dem "low prices"
