>>1708239Now I've also been a proud owner of a FlyThingy (R) for a couple weeks, so I made a bird's eye progress pic
Got quite a few things done in the last weeks
- Lots of weeding
- More solid concrete tile paths
- Extended the herb and flower beds
- Planted a bunch more ornamentals (barely visible yet)
- Some terracing (in progress, shoveling around clay soil is some serious work)
- Filled up the right raised bed and sown carrots
- Planted about 25 strawberries. This time around I'm trying semi-shade (below the fig tree) because in the last couple years while I had them in full sun, droughts and heat waves in late May (harvest time) led to droopy plants and tiny fruits which started fermenting while still on the plants
- Built another tomato rack for 10 more plants
Also tomorrow will be the first asparagus harvest (ramp under black foil on top, only part of the 50m length visible) as I noticed some of the sprouts pushing up today. Hopefully it will be a better year than last one (only got very small harvests of super thin sprouts, I blame the preceding 2018 severe drought which weakened the plants)
