>>1310585>tomatillosYeah, they do look like that, but I rarely see other people growing them for some reason. I just noticed today that one of the volunteer purple tomatillos I have is more than 6 feet tall! I was looking through the tomato plants and noticed a tomatillo sticking up above all over them and I was like, "how'd you get up there?"
>salsaYeah, I can't wait either. I have a huge row of tomatillos for salsa and to be used dried for soups. I harvested nearly half the garlic today, I've been picking peppers for 2 months, and the tomatoes are starting to ripen all over. I just need some more tomatoes then I'll search up the oldest tomatillo fruit and dig up some onions to make fresh salsa.
>haven't really had any bug problems so farMy current list,
Japanese Beetles
Squash Bugs
Squash Beetles
Cucumber Beetles (spotted and striped)
Three-lined Potato Beetles (they love tomatillos, but the tomatillos don't care at all)
Vine Borer Moths (HORDES OF THEM!)
I'm sure there's more I'm missing, but I have to get up early and do more garden work!
