>>838432I never even saw that post. But for channel cats, I always like using dip bait. The shit that comes in jars like pic related. There are special hooks and rigs for it that you will want to buy, but they are cheap anyway. Otherwise nightcrawlers, chicken livers, or shiners/bluegill dead or alive.
And for the bass and pickerel, your lure choice looks fine. A lot of days when I'm running Texas rigs, I do better with lizards and crawdads instead of worms since they have a bit more action. Color choice is strange. With the soft plastics, I have a lot of luck with darker stuff like Junebug around here where the water is slightly murky. And chartruese seems to do well in clear water if nothing else is working. If it is really sunny with clear water, try and avoid super bright silver spinners and cranks. At least that's whay I heard. When using crankbaits or jerkbaits like Rapalas, gold is always my favorite color and works well in so many conditions.
I want to get out fishing now. I really want to get down somewhere with peacocks but don't feel like sitting in traffic.
