The southeast has a lot to offer. You can practically go camping year-round with the same gear. Arguably the best fishing in the country is in the Gulf. Deer aren't the biggest, 100-160 lb range on average. Bucks get big though. Plenty of pigs, coyotes, and bobcats to shoot. Camping on barrier islands is fun and they are plentiful. TONS of state parks to play around in. It is just and absolutely gorgeous area to live with relatively low cost of living.
