>>395427Done some research and I'm now positive they're either brown or brook trout. Even found out the town has been stocking my brook much much much further down stream with brown trouts. But according to the stocking maps to get to where I live they would have to pass through 2 dams and swim in underground streams. The pool where I found them is on directly on a horse/jeep trail so either they're tenacious little guys to get that far or the stocking maps are incomplete. If there's no rain do you think they can survive the winter in such small pool? (2-3 feet deep, 10 feet across) Biggest fish was only about 6 inches. I'd like to see them next spring bigger in size.
