i also don't use 3 way swivels otherwise but i use barrel swivels for lure fishing too because i can't be assed learning fg nots or whatever
this way you can also set the drag really light, or leave the bail open so the fish have less of a chance of feeling the weight/line when they grab the bait and spitting it out, so you can fish a couple rods at once if you want
downside is you almost always get hooks in their guts, so i only do this when i'm keeping fish, then quit when i hit limit
