there is literally the largest homeless encampment in the US in San Jose. It's called 'The Jungle' and its along a riparian area of a river that runs through town. Its filled with thousands of shanty structures and tents n shit. Steelhead used to be in the river but now due to the sheet amount of trash / human shit / crack pipes there is no chance of them returning to the river. I used to to creek clean up volunteering and it was insane the stuff we would find.
Go actually pay for an apartment and don't be one of the thousands of others who are ruining the /out/ of SJ.
