Hi all,
My grocery store chive bunches from 5 years ago are getting huge and produce way more than I need. Are they robust enough to survive me digging up the bulbs and planting them each an inch or so apart from one another? Can it only be done at a certain time of the year? I figure a smaller number of plants with more space to grow and gather nutrients is better than this overgrown mess.
Also, for the ones that don't get replanted, are the bulbs worth using in cooking?
Any input is appreciated.
