Anybody go to a dark site to see the Perseids this weekend? I went to the beach dar from the city in the small hours. It was a fairly dark sky (Bortle Class 4), but really makes me want to visit the darkest sky possible in the UK, which would the Highlands and Islands (Bortle Class 1). Has anyone been there for skywatching or any other Bortle Class 1 sites in the UK?
