Growing a bunch of chili plants primarily this year however one of my Anaheim peppers and my banana peppers are really growing well they have increased their size by a third to almost half in about a week and seem to love their new containers since they are no longer root bound and the rest seem to be doing alright side from some leaf curling from to much sun exposure but I try to rotate them to shade when I can and notice it. Question: I am using bamboo BBQ poles as my garden stakes and am currently stringing up my chili plants kinda how you would tomatoes by supporting them as much as possible by tying them to the stakes with Hemp Twine. Will this be enough to support them or should I go the extra mile and buy a couple of tomato cages for the pepper plants that put out? First year grower so I have no idea how important it is to string up chili peppers for support so they dont fall over in strong winds we get here in zone 6a.
