Don't be an absolute retard and use a cabin in snowy areas like any every other sane person. I worked with native Siberians and even they wouldn't sleep in tents once snow hit the ground. The fire won't help when the ground is frozen. It sounds very romantic but in practice you will wake up every two hours because the hypothermia kicks in. Have fun re-lighting that fire when you can't feel your fingers anymore.
Don't ever underestimate the cold.
