Wolverine Spencers. They can be had for around $65 US on Amazon. They're fairly heavy compared to runners at just over 1lb per boot, but are made of decent leather, waterproof, and virtually bomb-proof as far as durability goes. I've had mine since late 2010, and have worn them in every situation imaginable; with very little effort put into preserving them -- and they're still going.
If you get these, I'd just recommend you rub beeswax into the leather to protect it and improve water resistance.
