I definitely treat a four foot Rock Python differently than a fourteen foot Reticulated Python. They are both constrictors, but I only reasonably need to use caution around one of them.
Two reasons not pick fights with random strangers: 1. It's rude. 2. Odds are you will eventually pick a fight with a Champion Kick Boxer. Same is true with dogs. While there maybe aggressive Yorkies, even a mid tier 100 lb pound Rottweiler can eat your lunch. A super aggressive Rottie can remove your bloodline from the planet.
