Anyways, if you like your scandi grind mora / puukko -type knives, I would heartily recommend you give a try for the Rokka Knives Korpisoturi. It's basically the ultimate epitome of all puukko knives, whipping traditional Sissipuukkos, Jääkäris, Moras, Marttiinis, and whatnot easily. Basically the fancy thing about it is that the blade is tempered to two different hardnesses - the blade is super hard, resulting in insane cutting and woodworking ability, while it's spine is super soft, making it fairly durable.
It doesn't fulfill your entire criteria list though:
- High carbon steel - check
- Full tang, preferably exposed - it's full tang, but not exposed
- Preferably wooden handle - no wooden handles available
- Leather sheath - sheath isn't leather, but this fancy tree fiber composite stuff
- Preferably scandi grind - check
- Simple design - check
- Made to last - check
- Preferably around the $100~ mark - nope, around 170usd.
It's worth checking out anyways. However, if you don't agree with all that, then for something that fulfills your set criteria better, I would recommend the ESEE RB3. I have one myself, and it's awesome. It fulfills all of your criteria easily, except the wooden handle - it's canvas micarta. And it's fucking meant to be used and it's made to last - there's a good reason why ESEE offers an eternal, unconditional, no questions asked, transferable warranty.
