>>938804Yup, life jacket is a must whenever you go out on the waters. I will most likely only be using it in the nearby fjord and canal leading from fjord to harbour. Canal approximately 50m wide, fjord depth for the vast majority below 2m (still plenty to drown in if shit hits the fan). So not _that_ worried about the potential dangers. Main concern with my nearby waters is getting pissed off over getting soaked. And ofc. never underestimate the effect of cooling in water which is also a real danger.

I guess modifications are needed to make it a good experience for fishing. Off the top of my head I was thinking a pair of 'spreaders' with pontoons and adding a hard floor some way for rigidity and stability.
