Guys...how do I ice fish? I have never been, but am going to give it a shot this upcoming weekend. Target species= Pike, Perch, and Sunfish. It is a small lake/Large pond, fairly remote but by a road. Use of baitfish is permitted. I do not have an auger so my plan is cutting a rough hole with an axe, it should still be <10in thick I think right now. I guess I should stop and get some cheap ice fishing rods/reels? Probably going to use baitfish of some sort if I can find an open shop. What do you think? Also ice fishing general.
