The reason I didn't stick with my 5 window bus was because it really limits you in terms of stealth. It's much more obvious then a van, even though my van has a fiberglass cap and looks "rv-ish" I feel more confident stealth camping in places I shouldn't.
The bus on the left I had for about a week before I sold it. It was a perfect size (five window). If I didn't have my van almost completed by the time I got it (traded for it and sold it to my buddy) I probably would have opted for it.
The old ambulance on the right was home to about 6 crust punks. They had some issues with their diesel engine when we were driving the bus around drinking. One of the guys I was with was a diesel tech and had them running about 15 minutes later. They said they had tons of issues trying to stealth camp because of how "loud" looking their ambulance was. It was pretty badass though.
