>What’s the ridge in the picture?Striding Edge, the best part of a lovely circular on Helvellyn. It’s walkable in pretty much any conditions and only really slightly challenging in winter if you haven’t got spikes.
>What routes are you doing up Scafell and Snowdon?Scafell probably the corridor route and Snowdon most likely the Pyg track. I’d love to do Crib Goch in winter and since your time doesn’t start until you leave your first peak it’s possible, but conservation of energy will be very important, plus we’ll probably be attempting it in the dark with very little visibility so just seems a bit foolhardy. I went for the first time in October for a solo wild camp and loved it, pic related.
