The heat mats finally arrived! They are for 4 trays, but just long enough to squeeze a 5th tray onto them and have about 1 row of seedlings on each side hang over. I put blueboard foam insulation under them as per the instructions for extra heat retention. Truth be told, 107watts doesn't go a long ways. I have the lights & mats turned on. There's about 861 watts pouring into that shelving unit, minus line voltage drop. I'm going to put in some thermometers and see where the temps level off at. Then I'll research the seedlings again to make sure the temp ranges are good and adjust planting locations based on that. Like cole crops on the bottom shelf and sides where it is the coolest and peppers/tomatoes on the top shelf in the center where it should be warmest.
