The original makers of Timberlands when they got bought out and dumped their US manufacturing is called AF Boots (Allegiance Footwear).
They mostly did repairs and would do batches of boots. With their 8 styles. One of the owners died in the last year or two and looks like they may be closing their doors and dumping their stock. They are insanely good boots for the price. Leather is thick (8 oz, and thicker than any danner or non whites/Nick's out there), they have thinsulate, and had their direct attach soles done by Weinbrenner. I custom bought a pair and when the outsole had a mistake, they emailed me a picture of it and said they were going to redo it from scratch. It's a shame to see them go but if anyone wants a deal if highly recommend them.
It's direct attach sole too so uses polyurethane like most modern boots do. It's lighter than welted boots which you don't want out unless apocalypse, but needs to be used semi regularly to avoid hydrolysis.
